My daughter got to help custom design her paddle board with Todd . He took what she wanted and made the most beautiful paddle board for her !! She loves it so much ! She took it out the next day ! It is so light , that she is able to handle it all by herself !! Thanks again for all your hard work and I have already picked one out for me!

I should have written this a long time ago…I have the best custom paddleboard ever from Island Inspired!! Cate and Todd were so great to work with. They were very patient and resourceful working with me to design exactly the paddleboard I wanted. You couldn’t find nicer people to work with. I love my paddleboard!

Just watched my custom board being crafted and I do mean crafted. If you haven’t seen the work Todd can do when making a surf board then you are really missing something. I had him research and build a board I bought when I was 15. It was a Hobie and I used to surf the east coast of South Florida. He found the exact specifications for my old board and was able to add a custom tie dye piece of art my Daughter made into the top of the board. Probably a little old for surfing at 69 and plan to mount the board on the wall of my living room to show the amazing creation Todd and Wendy have made.If you ever have anyone looking to create magic Todd is the guy. Stop by and watch the master work.

My husband and I bought paddle boards from Island Inspired. The quality and experience have exceeded our expectations. The craftsmanship adds so much value to the boards. We would definitely buy from Todd and Cate again!

It was so cool seeing Dads board made! The steps and precision are wild! Much like Tie Dye, you have no idea how it is done until you see it first hand. Thank you Todd for helping my Dad see a dream come true. Your skill is amazing. And of course, Kudos to Cate for her behind the scene endless job of holding it all together! If you can dream it, they can make it!

Over the last 50 years I have trained or employed hundreds of wannabe surfboard craftsmen. Among them are a very few that have become the best in the world. Todd Sutz came to me as just another beginner back in the early 90s. But in short order, he proved himself to be a strong and focused worker who honed his experience into those of a master craftsman in a few years. As worthy as that is, being successful in the “business” of surfboards, takes much more than just being good at one’s craft. It takes a special kind of character to rise above all the foolishness typical of the surf industry. Todd has this kind of character and used it and 10 years of working with me to learn the “business” of surfboard building. This has allowed him to shape out a successful position in a very difficult industry.

When I met Todd as he was working at HIC, my first impression was this guy is straight up honest and fair. When he began making surfboards on his own, I jumped at the opportunity to work with him. In addition to our carrying his Island Inspired boards, he’s been making 100% of our private label surfboards for about eight years now. I can’t think of anyone else that I would prefer working with. Throughout these years, his combination of professional work ethic and personal, likable nature have made to strengthen our business relationship even more. Plus, he’s always there when we need him to go the extra mile. Unlike a lot of shapers, Todd has been totally accessible and willing to listen to and work with everyone – from the decorated pro to the clueless beginner surfer. He’s a class-act.
